The Fairbanks Community Museum has brought together a dazzling array of exhibits and artifacts to best tell the colored history of this wild region. Visitors to the museum will enjoy the beautiful diorama of Captain Barnette, the founder of Fairbanks. The Dog Musher's Museum is also housed in the same building, where visitors can explore the history of dog racing in the region. The museum is located south of Griffin Park, near the Cushman Street Bridge.
